William Clyde Gibson was an American convicted serial killer and rapist who lived from September 27, 1956, to October 9, 2021. He was born in Indiana, USA, and grew up there. He had several run-ins with the law throughout his life, including drug-related charges and burglary. Gibson's first murder victim was Karen Hodella, a 44-year-old Florida woman, in 2002. In 2012, Gibson was charged with the murders of three women in southern Indiana: Stephanie Kirk, Christine Whitis, and Karen Hodella. He was convicted of the murders of Whitis and Kirk and sentenced to death, while the charges related to Hodella's murder were dropped due to a plea bargain deal. In 2014, Gibson entered a guilty plea to the murder of Karen Hodella and was sentenced to 65 years in prison. In July 2021, Gibson was found unresponsive in his cell at the Indiana State Prison and later pronounced dead.
